FAQ's

1) Does my dog need to be vaccinated to walk with Gypsy Tails N' Trails?

Yes. Here at Gypsy Trails N' Trails, we want to offer pet owners peace of mind when using our services. We require all dogs to have had the following vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella and DHPP. We ask that pet owners show us proof, so, please have your pet's vaccination records ready or easily accessible when we meet for your complimentary consult & dog evaluation or just have your veterinarian e-mail a copy to us at gypsytailsntrails@gmail.com

2) Why should I trust Gypsy Tails N' Trails to care for my pet?

Because when your dog walks with Gypsy Tails N' Trails, it is of the utmost importance to us that your dog's health, safety, & happiness are provided while in our care. We are pet owners too and we understand that your pets are your babies. They are beautiful souls who deserve to be treated with kindness and shown only love. We take pride in the premium service we offer pets and their owners, and, we would expect the same level of attention and service from someone else if we were to require a pet service for our own pets.

3) My dog suffers from anxiety, has behavioral issues, or, does not like other dogs, etc. Can you help me?

Yes, we are willing to take on more challenging dogs as long as we can establish some guidelines, boundaries, as well as go over your expectations. After an evaluation of your dog, we can discuss what type of behavior issues your dog is prone to.  We will determine if they are more social dogs, tolerant, selective, or, sometimes struggle with aggressive behavior in certain situations. This will help us figure out what will be best, moving forward with our service. If your dog needs regular structured walking to improve on leash pulling, or needs help overcoming a fear/intolerance of other dogs and people, we will strive to help them overcome their stress triggers in order to become happier more balanced, and overall well-adjusted dogs.

4) Will my dog be part of a large pack?

No,  we never walk dogs in large, out of control packs! We always choose dogs that are well socialized, well mannered for our pack walks. There will be no more than 6 dogs together during our pack adventures. The groups will always be under control and dogs will slowly be introduced to one another to ensure that they can adjust in a safe, low-stress environment while getting to know their new friends!

5) Will you take my dog to a dog park?

Answer: Yes, if it is your preference that we walk your dogs in park settings than that is what we'll do. We usually take the dogs out of the city and into the wilderness as this setting provides the dogs with plenty of space to explore and heaps of stimulation with a much less crowded atmosphere than a dog park or city park. We do require that your dog displays proper recall if they are to be walked off-leash. We always ask permission to take your dog off leash!
